In September 2013, The Distillery hosted a special Sign Painting edition of Live at The Distillery. The night featured a short talk and demonstration from local Sydney sign painter Roger Warsop. Roger’s presentation was followed by the eagerly anticipated Australian premiere of Sign Painters – The Movie Produced by Sam Macon and Faythe Levine.

As a special celebration of September’s Sign Painting – Live at The Distillery, we created gifts exclusively for the guests. We designed, animated and produced a 50-page flip-book.

This limited edition 100-run piece featured letterpress printing with two inks, and sewn-stitch binding of Gmund Cotton 110gsm and Buffalo Board 320gsm.

We also produced a hand lettered popcorn box, which viewers could pop out and construct themselves. What better way to spend a night than with a movie about sign painters and popcorn in letterpress printed, self-constructed popcorn box?
